Pharmacology and toxicity
l. Pharmacology  Cephalexin is one of the first ceflorins. antibacterial spectrum of which is similar with cefoxitin; but antibacterial activity is weaker than the latter. Excluding enterococcus, methicllin staphylococcus, pneumonia streptococcus, hemolytic streptococcus, and most of staphylococcus are sensitive to the product. And the product has good antibacterial effect for the Naxer bacterial; hemophilus influenza is seldom sensitive to the product. And the product has some effect for coliform, bacillus proteus and etc. Some bacterial show the tolerance to the product such as  enteric bacilli, bacteroid. Usually clostridial and coccobacteria are sensitive to the product. And anaerobe  G+  show medium sensitive to this product.
2.Toxicity   Fatal dose for half mice is 2600mg/kg.
Action and usage:
Used for the treatment of respiratory infection, urinary tract infection, and skin soft tissue infection caused by the sensitive bacterial such as acute tonsillitis, angina, tympanitis, nasosinustis, bronchitis, pneumonia and etc. The product is a kind of oral preparation, and not suitable for the treatment of serious infection.
